Description
A Visual Guide to ProjectComment ,For a full, literary guide to ProjectComment , please click here: ProjectComment InformationProjectComment has been an active group since 2009 to give you the constructive comments you deserve!
We have many projects that encourage our awesome members to give comments and get comments. These projects involve workshops, features, chat events, contests and, more importantly, systems that rely on interchange, inclusion and interaction.
To both give and get comments is no easy task, but, with the many projects that we have here, we hope that you find something that works best for you. If not, why not make a suggestion by noting us?
Additionally, if you have any questions or anything else at all, please do not hesitate to contact us!
Our Values
Our awesome admins and members give comments and get comments with the following values in mind:
Interchange
…to restore balance – comment for comment, positive and negative, give and take.
Inclusion
…to accept all
Where you start and what you do in ProjectComment is entirely up to you!
We don't ask our members to comment 24/7. We understand that life is busy, especially when it takes time, effort and more to give and get constructive comments.
If you're not sure where to start or what to do, follow the chart above!

Is it possible I can submit others' deviations in the gallery? I want to help people to have their work get more exposure and receive constructive comments.

We don't exactly encourage people to submit others' deviations into the gallery, because we can't know whether the person wants constructive comments or not. Part of the process of commenting on a piece in a gallery, and then submitting your work into our gallery for comments, is to confirm that you do want constructive comments, if that makes sense.
It would be far greater to let the person know about the group so they have the choice to take part or not.

All right. I will ask the person and send the link to the group if the person wants constructive comments or not.

WOW! This is a lot of information to take in. Where should I start? Submitting something to the comment folder and then commenting on something there? Like a give and get sort of deal

It's up to you! If you'd like to submit to our gallery, then we ask that you comment first, and then submit. That way, we can review the comment and accept your piece.
Most of our projects work on a "give and get" sort of deal.

I hope I don't sound desperate, but how can I have my work criticized? I really need some constructive criticism to improve, but, it's fine if it doesn't work that way. Thank you for taking the time to read my question.

I'm not sure how you mean by "it doesn't work that way". Most of our activities ask you to give constructive criticism for you to receive constructive criticism. However, if you have a burning, specific question to ask, and you'd like quick feedback, then we'd recommend

I know something is wrong with the chin of the person I'm painting, but I don't know what it is exactly and how to fix it. Help please!
I finished this piece, but now I'm not sure about the colours. Can someone tell me if they work together?
I don’t think the. You don't have to give comments there.
If you'd like to give comments, our gallery may be a good option. If so, please comment on deviations in our gallery and link them to us. The comments should be 200 words minimum. In return, you'll get guaranteed comments.

This is neat. Is it okay if I include a link to the group somewhere in the vicinity of my recent journal?
How do I get people to look at my work? This is a question that pops up every now and again, so I decided to accumulate pointers and tips in a journal for easy reference. You'll notice that this unabridged how-to focuses on literature, but visual artists need not worry: some if not most of these notions deserve your attention, as well.
The advice below is on a take it or leave it basis, and obviously you follow as much of it as you want. Just don't let me catch you complaining about low exposure afterwards, or I'll have another thing to tell you.
Now then, let us move right on to business, shall we?
1. Keep improving
First things first: there's no reason why you shouldn't keep honing your skills and aim to improve, so you might as well. And if it turns out your audience was just waiting for you to get a little better at what you're doing, then hey - bonus!
... Neither do you need to wait for feedback to get better. (Don't wait for someone answeri

Interesting. Seems like a real nice program. Although at the moment it seem complected to me and I am just intimidated by it. I be honest I am not the best commenter in the world, and its not often I make long ones. Would being on this require me to do a alot of maintaining? Or is this more like a group of people that actively comment on their own and help concentrate their efforts?
I will need to look into this a bit more so I can understand it better and not get into any trouble from failing in certain areas.

I like to think we're a group that encourages people to comment constructively when they have the time to. We don't think it's a good idea to rush a comment if you don't have the time.

Thank you for commenting!
If you would like to have your deviation accepted into our gallery to receive a comment of 6-7 lines, we ask that you give a comment of 6-7 lines so that it is fair. 6-7 lines is around 200 words, as a more objective measure, as I understand screen sizes do differ.
Would you like to...
1. Post another comment using our guiding questions guide .
2. Receive tips on how to improve your comment(s), with an explanation why your comment(s) was not accepted.

There could be more explanation and expansion on your thoughts to help the artist understand where you're coming from. For example, what, specifically, do you like about the piece and why? Is there something that stands out more than the rest? If it's the rainbow, what makes it nice or calming?
Is there anything the artist could improve on? Why and how? What about things that aren't done as effectively as other things?
I think this should help:
