Flora: A lichen-like fungi that grows in air vents of a particular toxic gas in the wastelands. While presence of the lichen indicates danger, and as such many locals are wary of approaching the it, it is actually a beneficial organism. On one hand, the lichen breaks apart the gas particles, decreasing its toxicity. On the other, the lichen, if allowed to do its work, will eventually block out the vent, filtering out most of the gas and making the area traversable, though not exactly hospitable.
