HISTORY

ABOUT:

Risa lived with her family in the mountains as the oldest child. Her mother was a simple house wife while her father sold wood and other materials to near by villages in need. Her mother had recently birthed a child who was Risa's younger brother. When winter had came around, Risa's baby brother had fallen ill. Her father had left to sell any left over materials, even a few family relics/personal items to sell in order to get money for a doctor. However a few weeks had passed, and the illness had worsened and Risa's father was still not home. Risa had snuck out one night and came across 2 traveling merchants, one claiming to have some knowledge of medicine. Risa was afraid of getting attacked at night and not being able to get help sooner, so she begged for the two to come with her to help her baby brother.

When she brought the two strangers back home, they immediately attacked. First with Risa, throwing her to the side leaving a big claw mark on her right side. The impact had left her stunned as she hazily watched as the two strangers revealed themselves to be demons who had been terrorizing the roads Risa's family had used to get to other towns for a while. They killed Risa's mother and baby brother as Risa crawled away to try and get help. It wasn't until Sanemi Shinazugawa at his rank of Mizunoto came to the call of the case, finding Risa crawling away with her life, only for the two demons to find her crawling away and started toying with her, leading to one of them clawing her left eye. He protected her and killed off the two demons before getting Risa to an actual professional doctor.

Sanemi stayed until Risa gained conscious again. Him and the doctors had told her everything from the damage she took, to her losing her entire family as they had found the small remains of her father who were attacked by the same demons who killed her mother and brother. Risa asked who Sanemi was as he then explained who he was and what he does. Risa then took this moment and swore that she will then dedicate her life to become a Demon Slayer just like him.
