Description
They had met at college at the Math lab on campus. Jose was doing well in Calculus but always aspired to do better. With his current goal of getting his teaching degree in high school math he felt he needed all the help he could get.Sebastian was one of the Professors' sons and a capable Math Tutor. He was gorgeous and smart, everything Jose wanted to be except that Sebastian had no idea what he wanted to do with is life.
After 2 sessions in the lab, Sebastian suggested they move to the library for some quiet. Forty five minutes after that, they were sitting in the back of the library going over the derivative f′(x).
Jose sat back with a heavy sigh. He took off his glasses to rub the bridge of his nose before sliding them back on. He tried to sit forward again but the noise from nearby was too much of a distraction and he glared in that direction.
"Those girls are giggling at us." Jose growled softly. He shifted in his seat and reached for his text book. Sebastian, thinking he was going to close the book and put an end to their session, laid his hand gently upon his wrist.
Jose frowned and brushed a finger on his free hand under his glasses pushing them back on his nose. Sebastian smiled at gesture. He'd never say it to his face but those glasses were too adorable. The glasses, those dark features, bronzed skin and dark curls made Sebastian think of some Mexican superhero. Since the first time he'd met Jose he had been half expecting him to rip off the glasses, strike a heroic pose then rush off to save the day all while some guys in red ponchos played guitars and maracas.
He grinned, slyly glancing over in the girls' general direction but not turning his head away as he leaned in. Sebastian loved the library and spent much of his time here. He had chosen this table to be half secluded from most the other patrons here and he knew from this angle there was no way the girls could see them. Unfortunately something had set them off and Jose was in the process of abruptly ending their tutoring session. Sebastian had to find a reason to keep Jose here. He was enjoying their time together and he wasn't ready for it to end.
"You want to give them something more to giggle about?" He asked in a hushed whisper.
Jose's eyebrow rose and for a split second Sebastian almost changed his mind. Jose seemed agitated and possibly embarrassed and this might send the boy running. However, Sebastian's fortune cookie last night had read 'Life is worth the chances you take.' At the time it had been a lame statement but it came rushing back as he indeed took a chance.
Sebastian held his breath and his lips brushed gently against Jose's cheek. It was a sweet gesture but he pulled back an inch and paused, afraid Jose might turn away or that he might simply get up and walk out as Sebastian's heart pounded in his chest.
He took a quick breath to apologize just before he felt his personal superhero's lips on his. They were soft and he tasted of the ju-jubees the two had shared on the way to the library.
He grinned and the two mutually broke the kiss.
"What?" Jose demanded quietly.
Sebastian shook his head though his grin barely faded as he started to collect up their pencils and notebooks. He could hardly explain he was waiting for the maracas to start playing.
