Welcome to my first animated atrocity,
Now these rants and reviews are just for my opinion.
So, I'm not a Rugrats fan,
But I did enjoy the show and I grew up with the first two films
Why, cause the effects, the heart and visuals were nice and successful.
Although I did hear some people didn't like the first one, but everyone has opinions.
Recently I watched the final entry on Netflix and ever since '02, Nickelodeon Movies went weak since Hey Arnold! The Movie had anticipation from the target audience "kids only".
Then when all the anticipation went down the drain,
Nickelodeon Movies had this case of Humor-itis.
So let's talk about the story,
The plot's about Tommy seeing Nigel Thornberry on his show,
Tommy had dreams being like Nigel Thornberry,
But the rest of his friends especially Angelica doubted him for it,
Then Didi and Stu planned a Vacation on a cruise ship,
But they miss the boat and take Stu's boat,
Then an accident happens and they get stuck on a tropical island and the kids meet Elisa and Darwin,
Now looking back at the first two,
They both had a simple or solid story and it was well written and had heart and laughs in the right place,
But then the film's writer (Kate) did a cliche job when doing a story, especially on screenplay.
The story is just your typical cliche underdog story with Gross out-Humor,
The heart and emotion are nowhere,
The morals are obnoxious
The visuals are nothing but filler
Everything that happened were the film's elephant in the room,
I will admit,
Bruce Willis fits as Spike,
There was almost heart with Elisa and Darwin,
And the animation, while gross at times in good.
But it's atrocious with Angelica badly singing pop song and it gets worse and worse and worse!
