Description
I apologize for the sloppy cropping and bad image quality. A badly lit dorm and a crappy camera don't make for good photographs of artwork.A still life for my 2-D Design course. Three "random" objects had to be chosen and placed in a composition together.
My three objects are a hand-carved, stone elephant given to me from a friend when she visited India, a tamagotchi, (yay '90s!), and a key I purchased in the gift store at the top of the Empire State building in NYC.
I despise the shadow, but overall, I'm satisfied. I wish I would've put more thought into the placement of the key. Also, as with every piece I do, I wish I was given more time. Of course, as far as my work habits are concerned, no deadline would probably mean no finished pieces.
Approximately 18 hours of work, 12 pencils (6B - 4H). Stayed up until 4:00am to finish on time.

That's spectacular. A sculpture version of this would be wicked.

Thanks! I'm not sure my skill with clay would do the elephant justice, but it could be fun

Wow! I love the details you put into the work, especially on the elephant.
