This is wonderful - so much mood expressed with just the light

Beautiful lighting, and as always, this natural feel, as if everything is in the right place at the right time. I absolutely love your work!

One of your best for me. There's still the casual feeling you find in many of your photos, the superb lighthing and grainy texture, thre dreaming gaze of the models and a great angle. I love it more than many photos I've seen until now.

wow...i just got a holga and was browsing for pics on here out of curiousity. you just provided more evidence that it's the photographer and not the gear...although i'm sure you could get good results with a DSLR and those models as well. nice one. sorted.

One of the most remarkable works I've seen around here for a while. Very nice, indeed.

I have had this image saved in my deviant watch since it first popped up. I had to comment on it - but I couldn't find the words.
I think this is one of your best images... and you certainly have some good ones.
The film noir mood is excellent. High contrasts - dramatic lighting - the film grain. It really conveys a mood along with the smoke from the cigarettes.
The composition is excellent. You really used the square format to your advantage. Many a photographer use the square format as a means of being able to crop into a rectangle with choices... you used the full frame.
The photo has something else... maybe its the model in the back not looking at the camera... maybe its the contemplative look on the front model... but it has a larger than life feel - like I can smell the smoke and sweat...
Congratulations.

Nice to see you at work again my friend. I miss you in the your absences. You make such natural and ironically surreal portraits that I've seen. Your subjects always seem very comfortable in their skin and what a marvel that in it self can be. Thank you for sharing with us.
