umm...I think this boot screen will work in vista tune up too. But you need to do some things before you can use this. First, create your own boot screen with any image then save it some where & check as to what extension it is being saved. Now download my boot screen & change the extension of my boots to that extension. This should work. If this works please tell me & also tell me what boot extension it is for Vista. Ok, thanks.

After installing the new Boot Screen in your TuneUp Styler. Select the newly installed Boot Screen. Now see a button named as 'Install' which is placed at the bottom right corner of the application. Just click this button & your boot screen will be successfully installed. Re-start or Shutdown & then open the your PC to see your new boot screen in Action. Enjoy!

Can you make a version suitable for WindowsVista? all of my PCs are Vista and this is a really good bootscreen, unfortunately, TuneUp bootscreens aren't OS universal

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

878952 In reply to Maikeru-sama [2009-02-06 16:48:05 +0000 UTC]

Well first of all
Second, TuneUp Utilities works with Vista it's written right here: [link]
Also, the file I have made & uploaded is a .tbs file which is compatible with any TuneUp Utilities Version and not with the OS. That means if TuneUp Works then so will my boot screen. You can have a look at more Boot Screens here [link]

Well I downloaded all of your bootskins and I have Vista so yes they're different. 'Cause I'll open WinStyler, click add bootskin from file, navigate to one(EX: Star Trek 1.tbs) then a popwindow from TuneUp will say, "filename.tbs is not suitable for Windows Vista" so I think you should in your bootskins say "ONLY for XP" and I have TuneUp 09 - registered so yeah

878952 In reply to Maikeru-sama [2009-02-07 12:09:52 +0000 UTC]

umm...maybe I should. BTW make a boot screen yourself and save it somewhere then see which extension it is...if it is not .tbs then please change all my file names from .tbs to that file extension. Also, if that works please tell me.

Maikeru-sama In reply to 878952 [2009-02-07 17:45:25 +0000 UTC]

Okay I will make one and see the extension, the thing is how do you make nonstatic bootscreens? 'Cause all I know how to make are ones of just the image, no progressbar

i love it, but i'm a mac user and the slidy dial is really a spinny liney thingy....

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

bidwell In reply to flameinphoenix [2009-01-10 08:48:34 +0000 UTC]

that 'slidy dial' shows you windows os is loading. its not the icon on the mouse pointer - would be quite difficult to make it the spinning wheel - would need to change the way that particular animation works on the os boot screen. - and Im sure the spinning wheel has more than tru 8 bit colour...

bidwell In reply to 878952 [2009-01-10 08:45:35 +0000 UTC]

well I dont think he is familiar with the windows boot screen.

the mac 'spinny liney thing' 'spinning wheel' what ever.
is a loading icon on the mouse - like the egg timer.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

878952 In reply to bidwell [2009-01-10 10:43:52 +0000 UTC]

Oh! that's what he was telling....
yes! the spinning wheel is nothing but the loading bar in Windows Boot Screens but in Mac boot Screens I think it is a flash spinning wheel....it's looks cool on a Mac....I have tried my level best to transform Windows to Mac by sharing this boot screen.

Also, you can make your computer (Windows) more devious by trying out these boot screens : [link] & this application: [link]

bidwell In reply to 878952 [2009-01-11 13:29:22 +0000 UTC]

yeah im into all that - i havent yet broken windows beyond repair on the partition i have on my mac.

my mistake though - macs actually have a grey type spinniny thing when you boot it up.

however it would be quite difficult changing the animation of the load bar on the boot screen

878952 In reply to bidwell [2009-01-11 16:24:17 +0000 UTC]

I was first thinking of changing my Mac Boot Screen to something very very equivalent to Mac StartUp But after a while I figured that it is either very hard or impossible, I would make a static boot screen but what would be the use of it. Boot Screens are made so that we can see the Loader Bar moving and our OS Loading.

It's really stupid to actually make a static boot screen b'coz that will make the user operating it more anxious or even worried in some cases
