The trade world dragon is a large flying mammal.Weighing in at 100 kg with a wingspan of 5 meters.It is an impressive flying beast.Dragons are part of the group shuotheriidae,a sister linage of egg laying mammals to the monotrenes.Their most impressive ability, breathing fire is produce by a chemical similar to that of a golen tail gecko from it's tusk and lighting it with electric organs.
Dragons first evolved as semi bipedal gliders but when the forest they thrive in started to fade.They eventually evolve air scas to cool down in a hotter world and limited flight to be able to move from tree to tree.They fully graduated to volancy when the plains are form.Like birds,their legs are fully free and are use to hunt the ornitopods it had an arms race with.Pack hunting and fire are effective tools to help disperse herds.
Harpies of the known world,a group of sentient being genetically engineered by the first sophonts managed to domesticated them and used them as tools of oppression against any uprising from the lower classes in the two harpy nations.
