the events of the first terminator/robocop crossover happen in rebirth. that is how Robocop is aware and battled the Terminators.When Robocop met the last T-800 terminator nicknamed Arnold and their interaction was just like their intro dialog in mk11
Robocop:"haven't we done this before?"
Arnold:"I have no record of a previous encounter"
Robocop:"we have met I'm sure of it"
even though robocop fought the terminators as enemies his friendship with Arnold slowly grew when the two teamed up on a couple occasions.
