In Rebirth, Sentinel Prime and Zeta Prime are 2 different individuals during the great War sentinel prime lead the autobots against the deceptions sentinel battled Megatron while wearing the apex armor but during the battle Megatron found a opening and disabled the armor and mortally wounded sentinel while he did not die he was still alive but due to his injuries he was locked in stasis to heal his wounds causing his time as Prime to be short lived zeta prime took over leading the autobots against the deceptions but of course zeta prime would fall as well as Megatron killed him and took a device which allowed Megatron to track down omega supreme.
