Description
Here's Prince Modest of the Western Kingdom, another OC for Chaos Competition, the second series of my fanfiction. He made his debut in Chapter 3, 'Gala Night Gone Wrong'. He's cute and nice. As Rarity said, TOTALLY not Prince Blueblood. Might be a good suitor for Princess Celestia? Who knows. Only the story will tell.Geez, I had problems deciding his color scheme... I'm not very creative when it comes to these things. As for his cutie mark... It's described later on, I think, but I forgot. Once again, you can imagine it. I think it has to do with natural elements and stars, or something.

XD It happens, don't worry. I'm glad you like him. He'll make a great couple with Luna, even in color schemes, in my opinion. And, major spoiler right here, but... Their daughter is named Dream Crescent.
Though, it's not really a spoiler, is it? I mean, they're totally gonna end up together. It's even more obvious than Discord and Celestia! And they're pretty dang obvious, the whole story's about their romance.

Oh yeah- the whole thing's been leading up to that, hasn't it? They had some rough spots, but I'm more than sure a happy ending is in the stars for them! ^_~

If you ever feel like drawing any of them, go ahead! Maybe you can think of great cutie marks that I do not have the ability or creativity to do. And... for some reason, Modest now reminded me of Mamoru... or Endymion.

I guess... And, he's pretty soft on his character. I think it could use some more development. In fact, if it hadn't been for me creating that extra chapter where he and Luna have an argument, I don't think we'd have known that much about him, and that was pretty basic.
...Can you imagine that picture of him turned into Miseria's puppy? I certainly can't XD

Well, one thing is for sure; while Endymion's past and future are developed to some degree in Sailor Moon, his personality is not- Modest definitely has one up on him in that department! XD He's a much more interesting character than Endymion, but that's just my two cents.

I guess that's why that chapter, 'Doggone Master Plan', became one of my favorites. So random, evil and funny... And uncharacteristical. Not to mention how Modest behaved the day afterwards... I'm really glad that you like his personality, despite the short appearances it has had.

Definitely does. He'll show up eventually, 'cause he's curious like that, to say hi to Chibiusa himself and be there for the inevitable, impending danger that Equestria will be subjected to.

Oh, boy, they'll need all the help they can get- the Black Moon Clan are nothing to mess with. Chibiusa would more than welcome his help- and his friendship.

Yay! So, what exactly are the Black Moon's powers? I know Rubeus' is fire...

Prizma/Petz uses Dark Lightning, Catzi/Koan uses Dark Fire (similar to Rubeus, could be she's emulating him because she likes him, even though he treats her- and the other sisters- badly), Avery/Calaveras uses a whip (she's very good with it, and I've never seen her use magic before in the anime; in the manga she is a medium as well, suggesting she may have power over others' minds), and Beruche/Bertie uses Dark Water or Dark Ice.
All four sisters are very vain and overly concerned with their appearances (in the anime). Rubeus is cruel, and is not afraid to sacrifice underlings to accomplish his goals; he does what he must. In the long run, he's far more evil than the Ayakashi sisters, and he's not even the surpreme leader of Black Moon!

It's really all about makeup for them- they all carry makeup compacts. Catzi is the worst of them when it comes to vanity, Bertie isΒ a close second. The two others aren't nearly as bad in the vanity aspect. They're more obsessed with power- especially Prizma. Fits, that she's the most powerful of the sisters. (I can always tone down the vanity in the others if need be.)

I have no idea why, but I always have a lot of fun with mind control. It's full of such possibilities! And so, so many that you don't even have to think about pervert stuff, like other sicko writers (most of them) that I have seen on the subject.

You mean, as in comedic possibilities? I'd say you put it to some very funny use with Miseria, both with Puppy-Modest and in the RP. XD It certainly does make an interesting plot point, though. I know what you mean about the perverted stuff...ugh...

Makes me sick. Here I am, thinkin I'm reading something funny, humorous, or entertaining and then I come across that... C'mon, people. There is so much more to hypnosis than erotic games and self-discovery!
I like how I am using it in the RP, too. And one little command that Miseria will give her will stick and be the great to help Chibiusa SnP out of it if and when she becomes Black Lady Usagi.

How does he do that?

A blend of his power and emotional manipulation, a little like Discord, but much more sinister. He does it this way in the anime: He twists her memories of her friends and family, making her think they hate her or don't love her or care about her, and that he does care. he makes her think the attack on Crystal Tokyo was as bad as it was because of her, because she took the Crystal, took the kingdom's main defense, and makes her think everyone else blames her for it. He falsely sympathizes with her, and when she gets angry enough, he uses the power of the Malefic Black Crystal, kind of the Black Moon's equivalent of the Silver Moon Crystal, to turn her into Black Lady.Β (I may add him magnifying her buried guilt for the Black Moon invasion of Equestria...)
In the manga, it's similar- he makes her think he truly has use for her, and she trusts him, gives him her hand, and the next time we see her, she's Black Lady. (It's not gone into in as much detail in the manga.)
