Phoenix Assassin================
this is the tribute to ~fein 's Alone in the Dark-- a great scene
check it out here -- Alone In The Dark when confronted with the idea for alone in the dark -- an assassin scene pop into my head-- i don't know, fein's scene about alone in the dark was about a horse alone in the forest-- now you may think this scene strays very far from the original concept but really it hasnt'-- an assassin is always alone-- they like to lurk in the shadows waiting for their prey-- so that's what i was going for when i did this scene
thanx go out to ~fein for making the alone in the dark scene
it's the primary inspiration in the making of this piece and to *zilla774 for teaching me how to photoshop Technicalities

WoW... amazing, the details are awesome, and the assassin... looks exactly like an assassin. I saw someone pointed out that the dragon blends too much into the background... but after all, animals tend to camouflage so I think your picture is great the way it is. Stunning.

I like the moon on the background, and the trees look great too.
It's nice how the top of the picture if filled with quite warm yellowish and green tones, when again the bottom in so dark and blue.
The dead creature (a dragon?) looks.. well, dead. And she looks nice.

This is awesome. Every effect here is done brilliantly, and it just looks so good. I'm especially fond of those leaves, and the branches. The thorns down in the corner there also look great.

Wow... That's bloody beautiful! I absolutely love the scenery: It can't even be called a background, it has just as much character as the woman! The trees and the sky are especially wonderful... Absolutely gorgeous, no less.
I like the woman, especially her weapon, and the look of those feathers are wonderful.
The only thing that I didn't exactly like where the red color of the muchrooms and the area in the lower left-hand side of the image... I don't know, it just kind of clashes to me. Although it does give the area a surreal/fantasy feel.
Speaking of which, that glow/mist makes for some really great atmosphere.
All in all, this is excellent. Very beautiful indeed.

I just found out about vue d'esprit a couple of weeks ago & have been thinking about trying to learn it. It seems it might be worth the effort.
