Description
Row of six,twelve eyes searching.
Logs,
stones and wind-whipped trees,
water:
they are nothing.
Underneath a fragile blanket
there are legs and arms,
laughter and warmth and whispers
and frigid fingertips.
An exclamation.
A shining line
etched across
what seems like foreverβ
2.54 inches in the sky.
A gasp, a sigh.
Destruction is glorious.
And watching again.

I love how the brief statements echo the meteors streaks. Really very nicely done.

Aw, thank you!
I know, I love meteor showers as well. Shooting stars always seem so mythical, but then you see a meteor shower and learn they actually exist.
And thanks for the llama as well!
