I really didn't have a clue what I was doing when I started this piece. This was my first venture into the world or turning segmented vases. This piece is composed of 8 rings (12 pieces per ring) for a total of 96 individual pieces of wood. The woods used (from top to bottom) are Birdseye Maple, Black Walnut, Bloodwood and Purpleheart.Related content

Thanks so much. This was my first time trying my luck with segmented pieces. I never knew how boring and monotonous this stuff can get before you even get it on the lathe. *lol*
