Whoo hoo! Deviation #60! Anyway this is Ryumo Shimei from Ikki Tousen. I'm pretty damn satisfied with how this one came out. This is a full body pic, but my scanner doesn't have a big enough surface.Ink & Pencil Drawing

Just standard black ink. It's a Pilot precise rolling ball fine point pen. They're like, $3 for a two pack.

I would personally have been able to carry the anime out for about 6 more seasons if I was the writer, instead the show is only 13 episodes. As for the manga, it's drawn very well, but the dialogue is abhorrable. The things the characters say are very annoying. I'd say, watch the anime, but pass up on the manga, unless of course you just want to see the drawing style.

If the dialogue and other things are off then ill probably pass on it. I guess I'll watch the anime then... just have to find the box set again. I saw it for $55 but I hesitated on buying it. And $55 is alot of money for only 13 episodes...

$55 is pretty decent considering the list price is $68. However, anime is currently going through a major reformatting process where everything is being converted to thin-paks that are much cheaper. Maybe, just wait for that to happen before you buy it.

Thank you! Speed is a recent addition to my repertoir. It used to take me forever to draw even simple poses, but I believe muscle memory simplified that process.

Muscle memory is when you repeat certain actions so often that your muscles will develop that action as a reflex in that situation. For instance, I have been drawing the same way since I started a few years ago; therefore, as I have drawn more the line quality and shape of how I draw are repeated instinctually. That is how my drawing time has been greatly reduced (I think...).
