The river is running, running over the falls.
Over the stones, through the fur, tugging the paws.
Where are you going, river? Far, far away
Beyond the trees, sliding along all night.
Take me with you, river, away in the half-light.
I will go with you, I will be cat of the river,
Down though the water, the blue water and the cat.

The thunder is rolling, rolling with the clouds.
Above the trees, and across the moon.
Where are you going, thunder? Far, far away
Over the sky, brightening the dark.
Take me with you, thunder, through the clouds.
I will go with you, I will be cat of the storm,
Flee through the rain, the rain and the cat.

The wind is blowing, blowing through the undergrowth.
It shakes the four oaks, tugging at their leaves.
Where are you going, wind? Far, far away

The shadow is fleeting, fleeing the light.
It lies hidden, yet always there.

The sun lies in the darkening sky, clouds red around.
