We were alone that night, just him and I sitting on the bridge watching the bright celestial bodies above us. There was a long silence between us, until I finally spoke. "Dei-kun...?"He glanced over at me. "Hmm? What is it, Misa-chan?"
I could feel blood rush to my face, though it was hardly visible in the blackness of the night. "I-I..." I cut off, blushing harder, unable to find the right words to go on. I felt his slate-blue gaze upon me as I searched my mind frantically for the lost words.
He glanced out at the water, the full moon glittering brilliantly upon it's dark surface, then back to me. "Can I tell you something, Misa-chan?"
"Y-yeah. A-anything..."
He appeared confused at first, but seemed to shrug it off as he spoke. "I... I think..." He cut off with a shake of his head. "I think it would be easier to show you, un," he said.
Now he had confused me for a moment. In a single motion, however, it all became clear. He took my chin lightly in his hand and turned me so I was facing him and kissed me. "I think I love you, un."
"Misa... It's time to get up..."
