Description
Hanna was out again. Lately, it felt like she was always somewhere, anywhere but home. Kaito couldn't begin to guess where she was going all the time, but regardless he wished he was there. Not that the others weren't great company, there was always something fun going on, but sometimes the ranch just felt too small.Latios huffed out a sigh and let his ruby-hued eyes flicker. As he rested underneath the shade of a tree outside, he was surprised to see Amaterasu, resident Volcarona, flutter by. His expression hardened as he watched her. It was a wonder she wasn't out with Hanna. He could count the number of times she hadn't gone with recently on his claws. Honestly, he didn't see what was so great about that flaming bug, why Hanna favored her so heavily. What did she have that the rest of them, that he didn't? He was a majestic legendary while Amaterasu was just a moth. It just didn't make sense!
Kaito turned his head and shut his eyes. He didn't want to look at her anymore. Just thinking about her made him feel sick and enraged. Something needed to be done, whether it was getting rid of that Volcarona or proving to Hanna that he was superior, and it needed to happen soon. He felt like a Gyarados, ready to go off at any second. Forcing his eyes open, Kaito returned to hovering in the air. He desperately needed space, somewhere to think up his plan.

The sun was setting by the time Kaito returned. He wasn't sure how long he was out (if the edge of the ranch counted as "out"), but it had to have been at least a few hours. Hanna had come back and was resting on the sofa with her Espeon, Iggy, laying with a uncharacteristic lack of grace across her lap. Her expression was serene as her lithe hands glided gently across his lavender fur, lightly scratching her nails along his back in a way that the psychic-type clearly enjoyed. That only added to the fire burning within Latios.
No doubt Iggy already knew he was there, but Kaito called out to attract his trainer's attention. She looked up, appearing surprised by the annoyed look on the eon Pokemon's face. "Is something wrong Kaito?" she questioned, concern clear, without stopping her ministrations. The psychic dragon let out a frustrated noise before he told her telepathically what his problem was, how he didn't understand why she favored Amaterasu over himself.
Surprise flashed again through her ocean-colored irises before amusement crossed her visage. "Is that what you think?" She gently nudged Iggy off her lap so she could stand and wrap her arms around the jealous Kaito. "I don't favor her, I love all my Pokemon equally." she assured him softly. "I take her with me because her heat is good for the eggs."
Eggs? She had been breeding this whole time? Suddenly Kaito felt really embarrassed and extremely silly. That explained everything; he had been jealous for nothing. He nuzzled Hanna, feeling genuinely sorry for having gotten upset.
She smiled in response and patted him affectionately. "It's alright. So what do you say you and I go out tomorrow then? To make it up to you?" Kaito wasted no time in eagerly agreeing. He truly had been jealous for nothing.
