Gahhh, I hate this feature but I kinda love it. So it's a love and hate feature. It benefits those who makes spelling mistakes and of course trolls if they're getting heat lol. I dislike replying to comments with edit even mine has edit all the time. When I edit my comment, I never reply back unless it's very important. If the comment has been edited, that's it, make a new one xDAnother reason I'm scared replying online, not just DA but also Youtube and Facebook because of the abuse. It might be use against me, who knows lol so I rarely comment even on negatives, I usually flag them, block, or hide.

I guess I'm ambivalent when it comes to this. I hated the feature because dA used to say we'll NEVER have an edit feature, we'll NEVER have username changes, etc etc, but I'll stop being a grumpy "dA old fart" (I'm not even really a dA veteran when you compare me to people who've been here since jark and prior.)
On the other hand, I think there's a way to see the edit history of comments here on deviantART, unlike in places like Facebook and Youtube.Ā
Youtube's comment section is definitely 10x +++ scarier than dA's comments, though.

Good point when you think about it, I could edit my comment at anytime and if I'm fast enough, you wouldn't know what I said originally. Some people might catch my original comment and they'll say something about my original unedited post. A perfect tool for the trolls.
Sure there's a time stamp when an edit was made, however... no revisional changes. *muwahahahahahahahaha*

Regardless if someone was trying to troll with this feature, compliment or not. I will NOT write someone a full thank you or tell them to fudge off essay. I will simply put "Great comment mate. I rate 8/8." While they're insulting me or not.
