I now know that he has his fin pretty early on, knocking out my bad joke about him hitting puberty in the 'time passes' montage and staring into a mirror in horror at this bump that has appeared on his head.

After the montage, fourteen-year-old Pulseman has mad acrobatic skillz and is bored out of his mind, having been stuck in the protective space in Amabilis for his whole life so far. A mysterious spark appears above him, and he's eager to explore it, propelling himself into it with a Volteccer. Down a blue tunnel and into a strange new place... watch out, world; or watch out, Pulseman? It's difficult to say...
