Description
This is a pixel grill to use to add a retro look to art. It is kind of easy to create. It is layers of different pixel effects and you can combine some layers to make lines and patterns. Then copy merge to use that combination.

These are black, but you can invert them to white or select them to fill with another color, or create your own layers with colors.

A good way to select everything on a layer even if you are on a new layer, you just hold the ctrl key and click on the image in the layers window. This selects the filled pixels for that layer so you can fill them with a color or create pixel effects like blending different directions. You blend the background one way, and them blend the pixels on a new layer the other way.
