On a night showered by the Persoid meteors, the Milky Way and occasional slow winds made for a far better subject to photograph. The region is worth a visit for those interested in astrophotography.

Thanks! This was taken last weekend on the southeastern region of Alentejo, Portugal, near the Alqueva dam lake, which I believe to be the largest artificial lake in Europe today.
