This one was parading up and down and slowly twirling in front of a female.

Oh my goodness, I just cannot imagine cold such as that. We have the opposite. Yesterday it got to 42C and to top it off, we had a power cut from 4pm to 7pm and I wanted to die.

Very nice Eve. We have a white peacock at our park. Although it has a nice heated hen house to go into, its outside cage area is so small it can barely fan its tail feathers. I feel sadly for it every time I see it. They are amazingly beautiful. At least our swans wander around a bit more freely and our ducks and geese fly around at will..

Oh that is so sad. The peacocks in the park where I photographed this one, roam freely over a huge area. Is there a reason why they keep it caged, especially in such a small one.

I don't know the reason other than we have winter. The birds , there are pheasants too, are voluntarily cared for by a conservation club who seem to do a good job of keeping them healthy and incubating new chicks. Is there a web site that shows the park where you took your pictures? I should start looking for examples where they could improve ours.
