A commission from 2006, done for ~akai-no-akuma , featuring her mer-character Ahura thinking about his human friend Neri. Merfolk are a lot of fun to draw! I haven't done an underwater scene in a while, it was a nice change of pace. I like the bubbles. ^__^Characters Β©~akai-no-akuma

Seeing this, I must say you draw merman (and I assume merpeople) like they were real. My favorite of all i've seen. It's absolutely stunning, the pose, expression, hands, fins and well everything.
Then the background is almost hauntingly beautiful. I love the way you did the water effect and the lighting/shading is terrific.
