I'm always amazed and stunned, and I feel like (if it's even possible because you're already soooo amazing!!!) you get better and better with each new piece you finish! I still can't even comprehend how such an AMAZINGLY TALENTED artist like you can still improve when you're already SO AMAZINGLY TALENTED!!!!

I've always loved your Morgan pictures, but this one made me fall for him all over again. This is such unique lighting for you. I love it. You just keep continuing to grow. The realism elements mixed with the fantasy, and the amazing lighting.... just simply stunning.

I love this. The lighting on the forehead/eyes brings so much realism into this. I mistook it for a photograph on Tumblr before I properly looked at it.

Morgan was always my favourite of yours for all those years since I first found you on Elfwood, before I even joined DeviantArt (Ad that was 6 years ago. Have I really been stalking you that long), and it's been wonderful to see his (and your growth). I still have a soft spot for Feral, ancient as that picture is now, back before your love of foliage happened to him. It's just such fun to go back trough the gallery, and see his growth. Ad being so damn attractive doesn't hurt his case either, even if he is still grouchy as ever.
And that lighting (and plant stubble) is to die for.

You've really outdone yourself with this one. I'm usually just a silent watcher, even though I enjoy most all of your work, but this one it truly outstanding. The lighting alone is superb, and everything else from the hair across his eyes down to the feathers on his coat is just perfect.
I've always loved Morgan best of all your characters (there's something about his dark nature that just draws me in), so I'm pleased to see him worm his way into your attention as often as he can.

I've been meaning to ask you... would you consider making tutorials or maybe even share some of your brushes? I realise you have a lot of work on your plate and writing guides takes a lot of time, but your style is quite unique and it would be amazing to get a glimpse of your workflow. I'd be especially interested in how you do those insanely detailed bits of foilage, I love them best about your images.

Thank you so much! I'm afraid I'd be useless at tutorials, though...I wing everything from start to finish, lol. I get an idea in my head, and it can take me months (due to lack of time outside of work) to finally bring it to a point where I'm ok with it. I may scrap and start over, and I'm horribly self-conscious and ashamed to show the public anything that is not perfect or finished. I use a very old version of Photoshop (5.5), and no custom brushes or tricks, just the standard set of round ones. I mainly paint with the airbrush tool and a lot of patience and trial and error. Try everything until something works, heh. So yeah, tutorials with me would be very confusing and rather boring...and teach nothing at all except that I'm slow and indecisive. ^__^;;;

Then it's even more impressive what you can achieve with simple brushes alone! I've gotten into digital art just recently (my parents thought it a good idea to give me a graphics tablet shortly before my finals - talk about temptation!) and I couldn't live without my brush packs
You art is amazing, you never need to feel ashamed about anything. But I can totally relate to how you feel about unfinished things, so if you'd rather not I can understand. Thank you for taking the time to explain, and have a happy time creating! I hope to see Morgan again soon.

I've already gushed over this a bit, but I figure a bit more can't hurt, right?
There are faces that stand-out to us. The chiseled countenance of statues, the smooth contours of profiles in paintings. They loom in our memory, breaking through the fog like the peaks of mountains. They are flash points in our mind. We will never say "Sorry, I thought you were someone else" when we recollect these faces. This is one of those faces. A face that can be glanced at and known immediately that it's a person, and a story, and art - all contained within a few features. Morgan speaks volumes here, all without ever moving his lips.

The splash of light has already been talked about, so I'll just say that the imagery of the light against the cool, dark tones reminded me of a beautiful scene from Ladyhawke.
