If this was acualy happening at a inn and I was there I would so be takaliing Semiyar and hugging him.... I love your chara Falen but when I read the second book I swiched to Semiyar.... Wonderful picture! The baroque-looking bow is amazing, I am a violinist myself, so I also must add the thing about the wrong shoulder and how it bugs me, but I did read that that is apart of his design.

I met someone at a faire playing a left-handed violin, and got a picture of it. That's what inspired me to give Semiyar a unique one as well.

It's wonderful, you can almost hear the music, and the sad notes chooses to play, I love it. A violin is realy the perfect instrument in this case, men and those colours fit perfectly with the rest of the scene.... I wish I had your talent, I'd quit school and never stop drawing!

Yes, the people in Avenan may play their instruments differently than we do, but it doesn't matter.. Anyways, I like this one. I like Semiyar's expression, pose, cloak, cap and feather, and fiddle. And the castle steps and archways. I like the lighting in this too.

Nope, that's on purpose. On earth it may be usual to have it the other way around, but this is my own fantasy world, and they play fiddles like this there. Part of his character design.

very nice, you have a similar coulouring technique to me. but if i may say that the character seems a little detached from the background, maybe it is because of the outline

No, everybody points that out.. It's part of his design, however, ever since I saw a left-handed fiddler at a rennaissance faire. Something more unique about it. ^_^
