I was writing a book series, but now I've decided to focus on the artwork as a career instead. The stories can be told through illustration, and I'll also be putting up character bios, world, and story information on my website as soon as possible. do you use visual references for your realism or is it straight from your head?

It's all from my head first, then I make a sketch to get the idea and composition down. If I'm going for a realism look, yes, I will use references for anatomy, usually myself in the mirror or my brother. For this one I referenced my hands. I love my digital camera. ^__^;
