's albino character Stormshade, falling prey to my infamous glowy butterflies and excessive foliage, bwahahah. ^___^ A painting that's been in the works for months now, and I'm pleased to say that it's finally finished! Thanks so much for your patience, Gillian.My wrist hurts.

The trees in the background were done so well it almost seems like it was a photograph. The selection of grays and blues work well to contrast and break up the large amount of green.

This is so amazing and symbolic. I just can't stop looking at this piece and being struck by the simple themes combined to make a complex image. Wow. I'm utterly astounded with this peice. I just added it to my favorites list. How insprational!

this is very beautiful!! I love the composition and the framework you've done! The color scheme is very clean, you don't stray off into a lot of other colors and the image is well centered. I absolutely love the contrast! The lighting is really well done! I wouldn't say realistic cuz it's not the point, but it's very believable!

Dang! I had such a long comment before, and I hit a button and lost it. 
His wings are so pretty! You made them look really delicate. I love the grass(?) around him, the tall ones with the round bits.
Your backgrounds are so good--like a picture. I'm left wondering what a regular border might be like, though. I understand that pushing out of it or giving it a certain look has it's appeal, but I think that it might actually work against you here. You have this absolutely beautiful background, so realistic and wonderful, then you have this solid coloured thing that has the nerve to cover up part of your pretty foliage.
If you extended them all to the very edge of the file, it might really draw us in, let us feel like we are viewing your famous Butterfly Pool. 
He is albino then? (reading comments) I really like how you used colour in his skin, but he still looks like he is albino. We have a black albino at work here, and she has blue eyes.

His face came out more somber and solemn, more serious than it was in the line art. There Stormshade appeared chippery and more juvenated. Not saying it doesn't work, but perhaps because it's such a glorious discovery, shouldn't his face have been more... inspired..or awe filled? I liek teh setting and overall concept, don't get me wrong this is an amazing painting, but I just feel it more alurring wence it was drawn out in pencil...

well,i have to say that i really love the green in this piece,it is the same color as in Ephemeral throne,a bit towards yellow.i took a look at the lineart but i didn't really figure out how you made the leaves on the branches.i know how to make those using watercolour but when it comes to photoshop it goes way beyond my power of understanding.
can you tell me how you did it or is it some sort of professional secret?
by the way,Stormshade may be an albino,but i don't think that albinos have that skin color.his is a bit towards blue,you have the feeling that he can glow in the dark.or maybe it's because he's standing close to that water...
but at least his eyes are red,like they should be!

His skin is blue tinted toward the front because the reflection of the water and butterflies is on him.
