This is more of a speedpaint color-wash than any decent painting. I limited myself to exactly one day, and used very soft brushes under the linework.It has been far, far too long since I've drawn Tim! His last decent portrait was back in...2002? His hair is still as wild as ever, and festooned with leaves and twigs as part of his "camouflage," as he calls it. His kind, the Marcale, have greenish, mottled skin to allow them to blend well with the loam of the forest floor and elude even the most watchful of enemies. Tim is the best of the best when it comes to spying, which is how he got the name "Sneaker."

I don't see, how did you did it. Is lineart version scanned pencil work? Is it the highest layer? If yes, what the hell did you do with it in PS?

Yes, the pencil lines were scanned. In Photoshop, set the layer with the lines to "multiply," which will remove all the negative white space. Then paint on a separate layer beneath it.

Eh, well, it's a speed-painting in my terms. I limited myself to one day only, as opposed to the usual days/weeks I spend on my more detailed, polished pieces.

When I first saw this I thought it was another commission. This looks too detailed and thought-out and time consuming to be a speedpaint! You keep astounding me. 
Anyway, Tim is such a fair looking imp-child! He has gorgeous eyes. He actually reminds me a bit of Huckleberry Finn or Peter Pan. He certainly does look like he has a knack for causing mischief.

Aside from that, the little bunny/cat (a cabbit?) is simply adorable~ And I like how Tim has a soft look on his face.

Hmm if you hadn't told me, I wouldn't have guessed this was a speed painting. But then, sometimes I like the sketchy look done in pencils, so maybe I like it with paint too! Doesn't always have to be flawless to be a beautiful work of art
