I'm faving this because I have been obsessed with pencil portraits lately, specifically in the fantasy genre. They're not coming along as well as I had planned. This is a perfect example of what I hope to achieve.
Beautiful pick. I especially like the eyes and jawline. Not only did you do an excellent job of capturing classic beauty, you also made the figure look exotic (which is good for an... I'm guessing... elfin character.)

He's one of my story characters. A misguided bastard prince who leads a rebellion in the third book of the Wars of Avenan series. He also appears in later books.

He'll come along in the third and fourth books in the series. There's a lot that happens in Rover's Cripple and Saberondan before he appears to make things worse.

Wow.... ^.^ Like I said, I don't expect anything less than wonderful. I REALLY love the eyes, plus the detail is lovely as always. I must say very exotic and very viper-ish... Yoo met your objective ^_^
However, after looking at it again, the nose is slightly off... On the left side (mirror imaged) it's shaded in too much, and his nose looks crooked. Unless that's the "viper" effect you wanted, it goes in a wee bit too much...
Hehe, however, the shading ish very lovely =3 Way pretty.
