Everybody's saying how they like foliage or water, but my personal favourite is that lichen on his back (I guess it _is_ lichen?). You know, the grey kind that hangs from the old trees deep in the forest and makes those look like they have beards. It collect water easily and soaks you when you pass it, so here it looks very much in right place for me and finished that moist and watery feeling that pic has.
That comparison with older piece is good, as are those progression charts, because then one can look and see that it took you time and effort to evolve to that level you are today. Very helpful for beginners, who look and moan that they'll never be able to do something as beautiful and then they'll be able to see that you were no better at the beginning
It's a good example that one has to practice a lot to get better and it takes years.
(_I_ still might moan, because I'm not even on that level you were in the beginning and my craft is different anyway

That was all I wanted to comment at first, the first impression, but now I have other things that need saying, even though you've probably heard them all before (you deserve to hear them hundreds of times). I love the peacefulness in this drawing. Being one with nature is exactly what it shows, and I think it makes most viewers long for that as well (though if Faeren always agrees with it being a good thing I don't know). This is one of the most magical works of art I've ever seen simply because it almost makes me feel the way the character does. It reminds me of the moments when I felt like that too, I can recall the feeling if I look at this. Everything, from the water to the veins visible on his skin, it all contributes to the beauty of the whole. I really love this drawing, and I hope it's helped you feel better after the accident. There are few things better than drawing to get rid of stress

There is such a unity between Faeren and his surroundings in this picture and I really love waterfalls. When I saw this pic I immediately had to think of my favourite waterfall in the entire world, Kravice in Bosnia. [link]

The calm expression is really well transported in this picture. Water/moss/leaves, the boy's skin all flow into each other very nicely.
