Everything works amazingly well here. Your point was to emphasize the color, and you did so beautifully. I love the blur, there just seems to be this soft haze over everything... soft and dreamy.

I love the colors Ben, and it looks great with the focus on color and shape/form rather than on a cut and dry macro flower. I admittedly do this a lot, the cut and dry ones. Though your focus on shape and color brings more imagination too the idea here and more fantasy. Sounds stupid maybe, but that's just what I got from it. It's very thought out and you can tell that you put some thought into this one.

The colors are great, and the vibrancy of them is apperant, but my one thing with macro shots is how bloody specific the focal range is. Frustrating to me. The background is very nice, (water?) and offsets the colors of the flower nicely. Did you use a tripod? Seems like the shot might have been a little rushed, handheld shot I mean. Love the colors, love the subject and background, not a big fan of the slight fuzzyness. Don't worry bro, it's an allover not fan thing, I can't even look at Monets works without thinking the same thing.

I'm pretty sure I used a tripod on this one, but there's no certain way of remembering now. The focus was on colors and less on form, but you're right, the technical issues are quite distracting. Thanks a lot.
