Description
I made this Victorian Gothic doll as an order for a friend who is a super fan of the horror movie "Crimson Peak" by Guillermo del Toro. I have also made several furniture and accessories for her based in this film, and they have all been a real challenge for me.
This ghost appears in the film in a very short but terrifying scene and is the mother of the female protagonist, Edith. I accepted the challenge of my friend and tried to recreate as much as possible the real ghost. I did what I could on this small scale, and I liked the result.
This doll is made entirely by hand. The mannequin is made of polymer clay, to which I had to adapt the head and arms of a small skeleton -which I also had to paint by hand- I sewed the dress manually without a sewing machine, with the added difficulty of the small paper butterflies cut out by hand and glued one by one to the skirt of the dress.

Although I don't do many, I love gothic and creepy miniatures, but this is the most special I've done so far.

I want to dedicate it to a special artist and a great person for his generous support... and because I think that he has a good sense of humor to accept a dedication like this one of such an absolutely dark doll... or not...
