This image isn't current in the Canon, both Mihos and Maahes are fully evolved but they need refs in order to evolve, plus over the years I have doodled these two over and over for some reason. They're my fave brother duo. I know I never really expanded on Maahes when I was in pkmnnations but he's got a whole dynamic with Mihos. You'll probably see a couple of pics with them together before I officially evolve them.

Personality:
Mihos is still the grump of all grumps, though arguably saner than he was as a cub. He no longer believes his old delusions that he was the embodiment of Mihos the Egyptian God. He's no longer hell bent on being "top mon" of the reserve, he sees the situation they are in and does what he can to help Thanatos. He and Maahes have mended their relationship and together act as Thanatos' right and left paws. He still has a problem with arrogance, but he's completely different with his mate and daughter.
Bio:
Mihos' delusions were abruptly shattered when the human that was taking care of his home disappeared. With her absence the Reserve he called home was deteriorating and the pokemon living there with it. On top of his high horse he genuinely cared about his "subjects" and had to come to terms that he couldn't be all powerful or all knowing if he was unable to bring Am back and help those in need. He was about to have a crises when his brother, Maahes snapped him out of it. Maahes reminded him though he may not have the power to fix this on his own, he can add his abilities with the abilities of others and together they all can do more than one could do on their own. When Thanatos was made the leader both Mihos and Maahes volunteered to hhelp him in whatever way they could. Thanatos charged them with guarding the borders, which they did dutifully, keeping threatening pokemon and humans's alike out of the Reserve. Today Mihos is fully evolved and he and his brother stand by Thanatos as his right and left paws.

Mihos had a wakeup call when he met an interesting hybrid while patrolling the border. Nikosi was back and he had brought his sister to offer aid to the pokemon living on the Reserve, each had a pokemon with them, Nikosi had Adele and Athena, both previous residents of the reserve, but his sister had someone new, an Absol/Tenacool hybrid Gloria. At first Mihos was arrogant and snarky about her looks but he was surprised when she had sharp tonged replies for every remark he made. This made him respect her, he liked her sharp tongue and wit. During the meeting Thanatos allowed the humans and pokemon leave to stay for the night but they were to be guarded. Mihos and his brother were chosen for the job. While they were supposed to rest Gloria began to wander, only to be caught by Miihos. She said she wanted to look around and at first Mihos refused, a bit of snarky banter back and forth that got weirdly flirtatious? and she got her wish with Mihos as her personal guard. As they walked they began talking, starting out sarcastic and snippy, but eventually got sincere and personal. She mentioned his past as an annoying, arrogant, deludid Shinx and to both of their surprises, instead of a snarky or sarcastic response he admitted he missed the confidence he felt in those days, back when everything made sense in his own little world and he felt like he was in control. Gloria was taken aback at this vulnerable moment of his, she thought about making fun of him but instead she replied with her own wish that she felt like she did before her "accident." She was so confident in everything she did, she was a great battler and no one ever DARED made fun of her (minus Sketch but he was pretty much her brother) but ever since she was turned into this.... It was like all the respect she help before was gone and she felt like she had to try so much harder to keep what little dignity she had left. Mihos apologized for making fun of her and oddly enough, he fully meant it. The two spent the rest of the night dishing out their feelings like neither had ever before both being completely respectful of eachothers feelings and often shadowing them with their own stories. Since that night Gloria started visiting the Reserve much more often.
