The nebula and the stars look really beautiful, but planets look a bit artificial. I believe the image would look better if you did just the nebula and the stars. Nevertheless, I like it very much. Good work.

thanks, i suck at making planets so i used a planet filter, that explains why the plaents lack detail, but they are better than anything i can really make.

there are number of tutorials on how to make planets in Photoshop. Just type "planet tutorial" in search and you'll find them. My favorite is alyn's. You can find it here -[link]

ha its a pity i have tried all of these, its just the stage of coloring and when i spherize it blurs the texture a bit too much, those are where i have the problems i think. maybe i just have to wait till the final picture to get the good effect, or maybe i just have no hope in making planets.

I'm still experimenting with it myself, so I'm afraid I can't offer any insight on that. I suppose we just need to keep experimenting till we get it right.

ha i actually did that on purpose to make it seem like there was some substance around the planet but it came out kinda of pointless. thanks for the advice though

Alas, I know nothing about space scapes nor planets...but this looks mighty awesome indeed. It had good depth in it.
