Description
Time at peace now so me and the volunteers are just hanging in the wreck room. Why did I take this job. It's dangerous. It saves lives. These two just makes this job nuetral. Then that alarm rings and it's time to go. I throw on my equipment and hop on the truck. Cars swerve out of our way as we race to the fire. Apperently I didn't come in time a little girl and her mother perished. Crap, I hate my job.Related content

Apparently the life of a firefighter of many years. A job can sometimes desensitize (I hope I spelled that right) a person and make what to some is art or a tragedy just another day on the job. Strange. The nonchalante feel of this piece just adds to that assertion.
