I just used a bunch of desk lamps with an impromptu light diffuser made of tissue, and I got the blue glow by putting something blue on my computer screen and using that
The lens I used was just my standard zoom 24-70mm f/2.8.

It did take a while to do as it was pretty hard arranging the lighting the way I wanted it. Plus as the lights were putting out an insane amount of heat, the water very quickly evaporated so I had to keep re-shaping them while taking pictures. Overall though it was really fun.
