Description Sorry for the dark pic, we're rather overcast today and I couldn't get very good lighting anywhere in our house. So, this is what happens when you try to dye chevrons using a foam brush and kool aid and realize that your original idea is not going to work and end up just shoving the entire 14 ounce yarn blank in a stockpot. You get a giant sheet of gradient hand-dyed yarn! There are four colors - red, orange, orange yellow, and yellow.
Well, I was originally going to use this for some hats, but with how it turned out I just can't bring myself to do it and break up the gradient into four hats (that's about how much yarn it would take). Instead, this is most likely going to become a sweater I've got just barely enough, especially since I'll be accenting it with black.
Can't wait to see how it knits up Even though this wasn't what I was shooting for, I'm glad it at least turned out usable, and awesome in my opinion. The colors aren't quite as separated as they appear in the photo, again, bad lighting, and the red at the bottom is more of a strawberry red.

14 ounces of Lion brand Fisherman's wool in Natural dyed with about 24 packages of kool aid.

Took two days to knit the blank, it's double the size you see since I knit it in the round, and about 2 hours of dyeing, 1.5 hours of steaming, and overnight to dry. A few damp spots, but it's almost ready for use!

Yes, I am open for commissions. I will do custom dyed hats and I may even be up for a scarf soon, I've got lots of hats to get ready before the convention circuit starting in April!... make that March, lol.
