Description
The Wild Hunt is a European folktale that tells of a pack of spectral huntsmen, tearing across the sky in pursuit of some unknown thing in the night. It was supposedly an omen of disaster- a plague or war- and therefore unlucky to see.I've always loved the story, so made this for my Lithography class last semester: The Wild Hunt bearing down on a stave church.

Thanks! It's lithography, so it's a bit of a process. I'm not sure if you're familiar with how lithography works, but basically you draw on this huge, smoothly sanded stone with wax crayons, then 'etch' it into the stone using a mixture of gum arabic and acid of different strengths depending on the darkness of the area. After two cycles of etching, you roll on your ink (shopmix black in my case), then print!

I'M familiar with it and I've seen people do it, but I've never done it myself. It seems fun. DO you study arts in a university or are you a high schooler like me?

I'm a college student, but no longer an art student actually! This is left over from before I switched majors. My college's art school just wasn't working out for me, but I have no plans to stop drawing!

LOVE. The details in this is just so amazing! And better yet its bearing down on a church (which adds suspense for me... not that I'm against churches, but it adds suspense.)
