Description
This is how it always isWe watch our reflections carried down the stream
While we stand on the mud caked leaves
Waving goodbye
And we fade
Spring forward, Fall back
But itβs the same
And I can remember this moment
Maybe it was in a dream I had years ago
Or I saw it in the eyes of a woman
As she floated above the crowds in the city
But I distinctly remember leaves sticking to the bottoms of my shoes
Smoky air clawing at my throat
And if I had stayed still for long enough
The tears would have frozen right below my glassy eyes
