I could never tell the difference

Between sunset or sunrise
You couldn’t see the difference
Never bothered to notice
And yet somehow
I could never pick the right one
You always made me think
When you whispered your stories
Under our starry blanket
Tainting your life with your dreams
I never did find out how they ended
Your words were just too hollow
Your lips just too cold
Of all the things you made me do
You could never seem to make me fall in love
It seems to be the only thing
About me and you
That I understand completely
