Description
A rust effect using a heat gun on EVA foam and acrylic paints. I just hold the heat gun very close to the foam until it starts to bubble and use that texture as the pitted rust. This is for a forearm guard (vambrace) made to look like rusty scrap metal on my post-apocalyptic warrior costume.Related content

Yeah, I wear a respirator now after a few times of doing it without. It's probably not good stuff to breathe

Thank you! I started doing that effect with flexible rubberized undercoating, but it makes the foam not as flexible, causing it to crack. This technique is much more effective and cheaper.
