Thank you, Mark! Β I loved the colours and textures and actually tried to reproduce what I saw - usually I tend to make stuff up

I like this picture in its foregrounds, angles, curves and effect of the water of the canal. Tones, colours and impact of light draw my attention. The only thing that is a bit distracting: the title! Because: my attention is immediately drawn to the line leading through the picture, the canal in all its beautiful appearance. The life saver, though it is of vibrant colour, is detected far later and is not what did draw my attention, as lines and lights are elsewhere. It seems to be a detail, not the leading item of the picture.

Nonetheless: The water's surface is so beautifully captured, I could well be sitting there today .

You're welcome! I struggle myself with titles always, and sometimes one does forget that the title evokes expectations and pre-settings in the spectator as well, that are not always congruent with the composition, though the picture itself is fine.Β

Very good angle making an ordinary stone fence not so ordinary. The colors of the wall are in a perfect contrast to the colors of reflecting water. Very well done !

Colors work fine there...Β Those reflection makes me think of parallel worlds moving in different timings.

Thank you, Mayumi! They do - and sometimes, when you are just too baffled to keep up with your own timeline, you end up in the slightly weird space of the parallel universe, where people are nice and the life is coming up roses... and then you catch up and breathe a sigh of relief - the world is as you expect it to be ;D
