Description
The boy had been running through the woods, chasing his beloved Labrador, for what felt like hours. He had been playing in the snow when his dog suddenly ran off. He had thought nothing of it at first, but as time passed he began to worry. After a while, he realized that he was lost himself. The sun had nearly set and the temperature was dropping quickly.

He shivered and trudged on, hoping to find his pup soon. But just as he was beginning to despair, he heard a familiar bark in the distance. His heart leapt with joy and he ran towards the sound. As he drew nearer, he saw his big Labrador standing in front of a small cabin in the woods. He rushed over and hugged the dog tightly.

But then his elation turned to fear as he realized that no one was around to let them into the cabin. No matter how much they barked or scratched at the door, no one came out to help them. The boy began to cry in desperation as night fell and temperatures plummeted further still.

In the morning, when a search party found them both, they were frozen stiff with no sign of life left within them – two frozen figures huddled together under a blanket...
