Behold, a Basic Digital Skin Coloring Tutorial!
Link to gray tone: [link]
I did my best to walk through the stages of a digital coloring…BASIC digital coloring.
This might help out some people. Digital is something I’m learning slowly.
Process is always a very important thing to consider!

Horses are one of the few things I can almost always draw without any thought toward drawing them.

Thanks!
That's me-someone who is just starting digital art.
I love working on traditional paintings over digital, but it doesn't hurt to try new things ^^

It's always good to try new things. I first tried digital art back in jr high and was so frustrated with it, but now it's my favorite medium. XD

Thank you for doing an amazingly tasteful nude. I am so happy to see people do the male nude form ^^

Good tutorial!
One thing I might recommend, don't be afraid of using darker and lighters skin tones than used here.
Mid to strong values really make the figure pop!
The tones used here are a bit light, not that it's a bad thing at all. Just be aware it's ok to go a step further in value.

Thanks!
I chose to use lighter colors because I wanted to keep it basic. If I were going for a more Complex tutorial, I would have added darker tones-reds, even browns-to really enhance the anatomy and form ^^
I am aware.

You're welcome!
I remember what you said about it being difficult working with digital media. Especially skin!
It can give you a headache at first-but once you get the hang of what you're doing it can be pretty fun ^^

That tip to change the lineart to multiply is really helpful, thanks (I used to have color on a multiply layer, but this makes more sense). Maybe you should submit this to ArtistsHospital?
Just one slight suggestion, vary your shadows a bit more, they're a little flat. Maybe some purple or red?
