Description
Anyone who has steam probably knows about that fun free game called alien swarm right now. It's free, so if you don't have it, get it. It's really worth it!Here, we've just got Vox the techy holding off some random corridor. I'll admit, I really didn't do much with this one, but I plan on probably coloring it later.
Enjoy! =3

I must say this: when I upgrade my computer and put Steam back on it...THIS IS SOMETHING I'M GETTING.
End of line.
I've heard nothing but good things about it, and I feel ashamed that I've yet to get to play it. Something I need to fix relatively soon, at that. Ah well, when work starts picking up, and we get caught up with it all and such, I'm sure I'll have plenty of money and time to take care of all of that.
If you still play it, I hope to someday soon join you in surviving the alien swarm.

Dude, lots of people still play Swarm(including me). They updated the mods and now they allow you to get exp from custom maps, so people who got tired of the same stages and left came back; it's relatively lively right now!

Well, I'll keep that in mind - in the meantime, I need to save up money and get my computer upgraded to handle stuff other than Firefox and Counter-Strike.
It's a 'gaming computer' from a few years ago, so it could use some upgrading. That, and a better internet card...

Ahh I see...I built one not too long ago for less than $500 US, an Athlon II x4, a 5570 Radeon and a cheap Asus motherboard. I only have 2gb of 1333mhz ram, and I can run Crysis on max and Crysis 2 almost on max. I don't wanna sound like a stiff since you probably know how you're going about it already lol, but parts are pretty cheap now, esp. if you shy away from Intel.
Dude, I'd totally still play Counter-Strike if I still had it. And Holy crap, the sys req for alien swarm is pretty high for a top down game..

Yeah, I had a computer engineering class for two years, so I understand some of that stuff still - even if it's been a few years since I was in all of it. But you don't sound like a stiff, trust me - you're just saying that it's cheap to get good parts to a computer, shying away from Intel and it's expensive stuff of course. I plan on saving up money to upgrade at least to the maximum that my motherboard can handle first, so I save some money there, rather than upgrade it and get more expensive parts to go along with it. One step at a time, after all.
Man, I was known as the Shotgun Sniper back when I used to play it. Crouch, pump-action shotgun for better accuracy, and I could get a headshot from a mile away with it. It was a little cheap, but out of my friends, I was the only one who could actually pull it off. You can imagine how many times they called 'bullshit' on the headshot. XD

Ah okay cool lol, just wanted to make sure.
That's a good idea indeed; that must mean you got a pretty good motherboard then. I messed up my new one, it's good but it only has 2 ram slots and supports 8gb of ram, but i can't find(or afford but it'd be nice to know they exist)two 1600mhz 4gb sticks. Also as soon as I bought a radeon 1 GB ddr3 they slashed the price on the 5870 >.>..so your plan is good lol, upgrade slowly.
LOL, you sound brutal man. Would like to see a vid of that someday xD

Well, the motherboard is as good as the rest of the parts - I'd rather save some money and get the best I can get with my motherboard first, which given how it can handle up to some pretty good stuff, I guess it's not so bad for being a few years old and such.
Perhaps when I get back into playing it someday, and can find some form of video-taking software that works and isn't too horribly complicated to figure out how to work (like the mind-crushing difficulty it takes some people to solve a Rubix cube, for example), then we'll see. XD

I agree - 'tis why I plan on having someone I know who puts computers together and takes them apart as a hobby help me out, so I don't screw anything up. XD
I'll consult my brother - who's made several videos of gameplay he's played - on what he uses, and go from there. Yay for being prepared!

Water + Power Suit = Shock suit. ^^,
Looks rather well for a no-effort job. Sentry gun reminds me of Team Fortress' Engineer.
Poverty restricts access to cool games.

I mean the rate of play and system requirements.
I have a unit that lags on star craft 1. >.< Still... It's enough for the mundane things I need to do. ^^,
