Description I find that I'm happy.
How troublesome that is.
I feel I am welcome.
I am loved.
I am at peace with my place.
All is well.
My life is good.
And that terrifies me to my core.
You people.
You good, kind people.
You have given me happiness.
Beyond which I have never known.
You have made me yours.
You have accepted me.
You have treated me as I have always dreamed.
You have shown me what life is.
What it should be.
What I always hoped it might be truly.
You have given me more than I can ever hope to repay.
I have felt real with you.
No longer just a passing dream of life's whims.
Immaterial.
Insignificant.
Unseen by those around me.
You have given me form.
Importance.
With you I am something.
I am happy.
But happiness does not last.
As the winds blow.
The days go by.
And soon will come a day.
When you will be gone.
And with you, you take my joy.
You take my love.
You take my peace, my wellness.
And my life will not be good.
You people.
You good, kind people.
Will no longer be with me.
No longer mine.
And I no longer yours.
And I am terrified.
Because though I am happy.
Happiness is fleeting.
And when the winds blow.
And our last day comes.
I will be once again.
Truly.
Alone.

I don't usually read poetry, because most of the time I don't get it or I don't feel it, I'm just not good with words! but this one is really strong ): I kinda know the feeling, very good wiriting!

Oh wow, I'm glad you like it, and thanks so much for taking the time to read my little vent poem. Usually stuff I write like this is pretty direct. I never really understood the idea behind abstraction for abstraction's sake.

Thanks for the well wishes, and I'm sure I'll be fine. It'll just take some getting used to.

I'm not very fond of abstraction either, because that's usually something that is only undertandable for the artist or for people that are like the artist, so what's the point!
