Hello! Welcome to my Chibi Tutorial.. I will explain to you how to draw a chibi in my own way.

I'm not really good in explaining so, er, if you have any questions, feel free to ask away! I'll try to help you.

Just remember though, if you're sketching, don't put pressure on it yet. Make your hand lighter.

And! Remember about the grade of your pencil. It helps.

Ok, let's start! :3

1. First of all, get your tools ready (Pencils, Pens, Erasers, Paper..). Then.. with your pencil, lightly draw a circle (lol, when I draw digitally, making a circle is hell). I repeat. LIGHTLY.

Then, again, lightly draw a cone shaped body. If possible, make the line just below the head a little bit thinner, like (1.1), just so you know how to draw the neck and shoulders later.

2. Most of the artists use these 2 guide lines which are drawn on the face to indicate where the eyes, nose and mouth should be placed.

But, I, for some reason, am not fond of using these. Because I grew up without the help of these lines. =_=

But dont worry! I'll put those just in case.

3.Now, draw the face and the body!

4.Then, the eyes, nose and mouth.

5. Sketch the hair..

6. .. then the clothes!

Don't fret if your lineart becomes messy. If you followed my tip on not to put pressure yet.. well.. it'll be easier for you to erase those confusing lines that are not part of the lineart.

Don't mind mine, though, because I tend to be messy when I draw.

7. And now.. the inking process! It's alright if you're not comfortable using a pen (cause i don't too. i hate it. XD But that doesn't mean you should stop using a pen. ). You can still use your pencil to finalize your drawing.

This is the part where YOU SHOULD PUT THE PRESSURE ALREADY, if you're using a pencil.

8. And you're done! Let's get those coloring pens ready! Or, immediately scan it then color it on SAI or Photoshop!
