This is from a magasine. its Kate Moss, but for a Kate I know in life - same name confuses things. Tips on portraits? Practice I guess. I dont know... I was never really taught or anything so I dont know what to do. Choosing a light source is very important. Know how to do that?

i think i will leave the picture as it is... other than maybe touch it up a bit. i drew it from a photo. i hate drawing from actual people because they always move and something always goes wrong.

In the first moment there was something incredibly sweet like,children giving their secret invisible friends names
hidden in the fact that the whole definition of who she is
was in her eyes
the title is kate,and all you see is her eyes so far and that
is something that I incredibly like.I cannot really give you any more insightful reasons its just..that it seems its a person so close to you that it takes only their pair of eyes and it is as if the whole universe already knows who she is.that is something..beautiful.a beautiful thought.and a beautiful drawing.
of course you could continue it,sure.but this is just something different you know?
this way it wouldnt be the usual portrait where you have to draw every line perfectly accurate in order to make the result somewhat resemble the original or..push the viewer towards that image.the fact that only the eyes are seen has something.I dont know.magic.
just..kate..when you hear that you expect to see the entire face.but you look and its just eyes.and I guess that somehow shows that you still recognize the ..details that make her essence.
I'll write you a note in a few moments.I am right now few seconds before the decision whether to write a flowetry piece or not.something is holding me back.
